Every employer in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is subject to the obligation to establish, maintain, and make available to the Inspectorate of Labour and Mines (ITM)<\/strong> a technical safety register. However, this requirement is still poorly understood by many companies. The result? The absence of this register during inspections by the Luxembourg authorities can lead to non-compliance<\/strong> in various areas related to the prevention obligations of the Labour Code<\/strong> concerning workers’ health and safety. <\/p>\n

The Luxembourg regulatory framework is explicit. The Labour Code<\/strong> (Book III \u2013 Protection, Safety, and Health of Workers), the Grand-Ducal Regulation of November 4, 1994<\/strong> on minimum safety and health requirements for workplaces, as well as the guidelines published by the ITM (itm.public.lu)<\/a>, require every employer to identify, control, and document all hazardous installations and safety equipment in their establishment. <\/p>\n
